It does not pretend to be comprehensive but is intended to be a first attempt to compile a guide to the many place names of our county. Click on \u2018dictionary\u2019 in the menu.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the dictionary here is a temporary file in simple Word format. \u00a0It is hoped to replace it with a fully-searchable dictionary in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>It is, however, very much a work in progress and it appears online so that others can contribute by filling the gaps and correcting the errors.
